We are a family tour company based in the beautiful colonial city of Merida specializing in private day trips that take you beyond the guidebooks and into the heart of Yucatan, where you'll feel as though you have stepped back in time into a magical world very different from our own.
Alex Aranda, the owner of Destino Merida, will be accompanying you throughout the day. He is an experienced bilingual guide and certified driver, and he is dedicated to providing a professional and friendly service with a personal touch.
We provide private transportation in a modern, air-conditioned and fully licensed and insured vehicle, and our itineraries can be customized so that you can choose the places that you would most like to visit and see them at a pace that suits you.
Whether you'd like to discover ancient maya cities, swim in the sparkling turquoise water of a cenote, explore lively colonial towns, experience daily life in mayan villages, enjoy a boat ride to see the spectacular Pink Flamingos, or simply linger over lunch in a majestic hacienda dating back to the 17th century, we take great pride in sharing the culture and natural beauty of Yucatan.
Merida is the perfect base for exploring the area as well as being a great destination in its own right. Founded by the Spanish conquistadors over 450 years ago, it is a fascinating blend of colonial city and cosmopolitan charm, with its vibrant streetlife, magnificent architecture, wonderful array of museums, and some of the most delicious food in southern Mexico!
